Ref: SCG-SET-04-005 February 23, 2004 Subject:Reporting on the Increase of Operating Profit Attention: The President The Stock Exchange of Thailand As early informed the company's net income as of December 31, 2003 was 335.32 million Baht. In comparing with the past year the company had an incremental income amount of 76.14 million Baht or 29.38% of the previous year net income, this was the results of 1. Incremental industrial electricity sales from the additional production capacity of the 9.8 megawatts plant expansion project, which was commercial operated in November 2002. This resulted in an increase of total revenue at amount of 127 million Baht. 2. In June 2003 the company successfully refinanced its outstanding debts by a new Baht loan with significantly lower interest rate. As the result of such refinancing the interest expense was reduced from the previous year by 45.49 million Baht. Moreover, the company also had an exchange gain amount of 37.06 million Baht which was 11.10 million Baht increase from the past year. Please be informed accordingly.
